SAFETY: All parent/guardians of students attending classes at Sew Fun! Sewing School are to read our Policies and the Release Waiver and Indemnification Agreement.

REGISTRATION: Whenever possible, we encourage secure online payments for class and camp registration. Please check your child’s schedule before registering as payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. ​​​ CLASSES- A registration deposit is required to reserve a space in a weekly class (registration fee, first month’s tuition, and a student workbook and pattern packet. CAMPS- Full payment is required to reserve a space in summer camp.

TUITION: Tuition can be paid by the semester or by the month. A monthly recurring payment will be made to the same credit card used for your first month of tuition. Only credit cards are accepted online. We accept credit cards, cash and checks for payments, by the semester, in our studio. Please understand that when registering for a class, you are committing to pay for the entire semester’s tuition. In the event of an early withdrawal, you will be required to pay the remaining balance for the semester.

  • A monthly recurring payment of $65 will be made on the 1st of each month (October – May.) This does not include the first month’s tuition, workbook or supply fees.
  • Tuition fees are based on the number of classes in the school year, not the number of classes in a month. Tuition fees are based on 36 weeks of instruction- 9 payments and have been prorated to include holidays. As a result, tuition is the same each month.
  • Tuition is not prorated for classes missed. Please see our policy below regarding attendance / make-up classes.
  • A $5 late fee will be accessed for any payments not received before the 5th of each month. Parents/Guardians are responsible for contacting Sew Fun! if the credit card used for tuition payments needs to be changed. Any check returned for insufficient funds will be subject to a $25 fee, and other collection and attorney’s fees as may be provided by law.
  • Tuition and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

COMMITMENT: Our sewing classes are divided into 2 semester courses. Please understand that when registering for a class, you are committing for an entire semester. We ask that you discuss the importance of keeping commitments with your child before registering for sewing classes.

ATTENDANCE / MAKE-UP CLASSES: Attendance is very important for the success of each student. Please commit to being prompt each week upon arrival and dismissal of class. Students should do their best to attend class each week. Please contact us prior to the start of the scheduled class, if your child is unable to attend class. Students are allowed 2 make-up classes per semester. Parents/Guardians are responsible for contacting Sew Fun! about make-up classes. Make-up classes are non-transferable.

ILLNESS: If your child is ill or feeling under the weather, please refrain from sending your child to the studio. We reserve the right to restrict admission or send a child home, when we believe a child is ill or risks the health or well-being of other children.

STUDENT DROP-OFF / PICK-UP: Parents/Guardians are to accompany their child to and from the studio no more than 10 minutes before the scheduled class/camp begins. Our pick-up time is no more than 5 minutes after camp. Parents will be charged an additional fee if campers are dropped off or picked up more than 10 minutes early/late. $8 (11 – 29 minutes) and $15 (30 – 45 minutes.)

MATERIALS: CLASSES- You will be informed in advance when materials are due for sewing classes. CAMPS- Materials are needed on the first day. Materials are not included in the cost of our camps. However, you may select the option for “Camp + Materials” during camp registration.

FULL CLASS / CAMP: When a class/camp is full, registration will be closed. You may add your child to the waiting list. If we have any cancellations or add a new class, we will draw from the waiting list in the order that registration was received.

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION: It is the sole responsibility of the Parent/Guardian to ensure that Sew Fun! Parties has current contact information for medical and non-medical emergencies. All Parents/Guardians are required to complete the Sew Fun! Parties Registration/Permission Form upon initial registration, and include all relevant medical and contact information. The Parent/Guardian shall promptly notify us if there is a change in mailing address, telephone number, email address, medical information, authorized caregivers, and emergency contact information. ​

MEDICAL: For your child’s safety, Parents/Guardians are responsible for providing detailed information on our online Permission Form regarding all medical conditions (such as allergies, diabetes, etc.) as well as behavioral and/developmental conditions (such as ADHD, autism, etc.). We require all children who are prescribed an epi-pen, inhaler, or diabetic monitor carry it with them at all times while on the premises, no exceptions. Parents/Guardians assume full responsibility for their child’s allergies and medical conditions.

​​PHOTOS/VIDEO: Photos/videos from parties/events, camps, classes and other events may be published on our website, Facebook, or in printed advertisements.

LOST & FOUND: Items left at Sew Fun! will remain in our Lost & Found for 30 days. After 30 days, items will be discarded or donated.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: We will follow the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public School System schedule in the event of inclement weather. If the studio is closed due to weather, we will notify you of make-up classes. If school is delayed, the studio will hold classes at its regular time; however, please contact us if it is not possible for your child to attend.
